Decorating the Riendeau chicken house Christmas tree

Kaylee and I had been waiting on Tony to help us put the ornaments on our Christmas tree at the chicken houses. Finally we had a night that Tony had time to help us. Billy had to work a little later so Holden helped us too. :) They had a great time and were so excited to run back and get another ornament to put on the tree. I think they did a great job on the tree. :) (Holden had an accident and has on Kaylee's clothes. He doesn't wear girl clothes just had to that day.) Not the best pictures they are a little blurry.

Thanksgiving 2012

Thanksgiving has came and gone. We had a pretty good day. It was hard without daddy, but we tried to make the best of it. A special person called and talked to me because they had daddy on their mind and they just wanted to talk to me. Mr. Don was a very special man in daddy's life and in ours. Meant a lot to me that when he thought of daddy he thought of me. Tony went early and fed the cows. When he got to the interstate cow pasture he found that one of our best cows had died. She had had a baby a few days before and she must of had trouble afterwards because her uterus had came out. We had seen her the day before but she looked fine. It's always hard when you lose an animal, but it's just part of life when you have animals. Can't let it get you down you can't change what happen. We ate dinner at Aunt Linda's with the Gantt family. It was different without daddy there with us. Normally I would catch him getting a straw out of Aunt Linda's cabinet and give him a hard time about being nosey. Then when it was time to leave it felt different not talking to him to see what he had planned when he got home. When we got back Tony took the tractor with the bucket back to the interstate pasture to bury the cow. He seen the baby was sneaking milk from other mama cows. Since no stores were open up town because of Thanksgiving we waited until the next day to get milk replacer for the little calf. After Tony got back I cooked food for us, Mama, Josie, Billy, & Holden. They each brought different foods to eat. We all enjoyed Thanksgiving in the trailer at our chicken houses. It's small in the trailer but it works.

Josie had gave Holden and Kaylee two little turkeys to put together for Thanksgiving. Today we put them together. They were so excited to make them. Holden just keep saying "I just love turkeys!" It's a little challenging to use a hot glue gun with two little ones that want to get in on the action. I think I am missing my finger prints on one finger, but they had fun and that's all that matters.

Bye Bye Crib HELLO Toddler Bed!!

Yesterday we decided it was time to change Kaylee's crib into a toddler bed! Our baby girl is growing up way too fast. Kaylee loves to help anytime she can and she was a big part of helping with her bed. She kept grabbing all the screws and the screwdriver. She likes to see every step! ;) Kept asking her daddy "what you doing?" After the bed was all done she FINALLY got to get in it. She kept trying while we were putting it back together. She thought it was the neatest thing she could get in and out of it all on her own. She started flipping out of the bed onto the floor. Then she had to have her buddy Tater in the bed with her! She loved it!! Not sure about Tater because when he finally got the chance he ran back into the living room jumped on the couch and got under his blanket and started growling. A lot has changed...

Life sure has changed since the last post. The biggest and the hardest change is daddy went to be with Jesus on January 17, 2012. Hardest thing I have ever had to do is live my life without him here. Nothing is the same without him. It's a daily struggle. But I have to be strong for him and for Kaylee. He taught me so much and I got to just keep trying my hardest to keep making him proud. It's not the easiest thing for me to talk about so maybe starting back with this blog will help me. Going to change the subject and I am sure I will talk more about it later. Kaylee is growing like a weed!!! She can know tell us her whole name! "Kaylee Rae Riendeau" She says our last name better than most adults! ;)She just had her 2nd birthday! She had a Minnie Mouse party. She finally got that "bike" she has been talking about. Every time we went into Walmart she had to go look at the bikes. She went to the doctor yesterday for her 2 year checkup. She now weighs 32lbs. 9 1/2oz. And 38 1/2 inches tall!! Doctor Webber says she is doing perfect! Her and the nurse, Blair were talking about how they never see Kaylee only for well visits. We have been blessed that she hasn't been sick much. Only a few runny noses. Kaylee and Holden like to play doctor and Kaylee has gotten where she calls herself "Doctor Kaylee" when she plays. It's the funniest thing. She is such an amazing little girl. Can't imagine our life without her. Such a joy. She can count to 10 all by herself. She tries to say her Abc's and she sings "Twinkle little star" Kaylee's version! :)
